Mark Twain is credited with the saying that the worst winter he’d ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. Although we’ve been quite lucky with our previous visits, last summer’s trip proved the weather does see extemes. We went from cloudy, windy and cold to a beautiful summer’s sunny day within a few hours. If it wasn’t for the fact that Vancouver’s landscape and weather is so similar to San Francisco’s, SF would be my favourite U.S. city – but it’s a close 2nd 🙂
